Why Antipoda Wear                                                                      

Back in the 90s

Remember the 90s, when the boom of the logos ruled our world. The currency of style

We grew up then being exposed & corrupted by little icons that gave us a false sense of belonging

Things have changed since then, we grew up stronger to the power of brands, we are now becoming in a way our own brand. Those icons have become a prison of our individuality, media & hybrid styles of art-forms have made us more aware & driven to look inside of us. We are no longer the mirrors of corporate ideas. We are the message.

Back then we felt the need for change customising our clothes, remixing our deck tapes, our slang…, we dreamt of the day when our image will be the mirror of our thoughts & actions, the day we took control.

 The year is 2002                                                                               

All of our dreams & efforts became a reality early in 2002 when Antipoda was born

We spread our energy & ideas to artists around the world to join us to create a clothing label that reflects their lifestyle so that Antipoda could be a community that will showcase their works as well as keep them involved with the international contemporary art scene.

Creating a community brand means that we will be the expressive medium of our members to shape the style & visions behind their work & personality.

Now, 3 years after our beginnings, we continue building our dreams along with a very tight & involved community to bring you the best international emerging art on clothes.
